Welcome to sharing the middle we're

recovering perfectionist overachievers,

2

:

and anyone in the middle of a

struggle come together to learn, to

3

:

embrace the messy middles of life.

4

:

I'm Lacey, your friend in the middle

and guide whose claim to fame this week

5

:

is getting our house on the market.

6

:

Well, This is coming out on

Wednesday and the house is going,

7

:

then we're going on Thursday.

8

:

But it's happening.

9

:

And, someone's going to buy this

beautiful, amazing house and

10

:

I'm Sad, but also excited for

the next chapter in our lives.

11

:

This is going to be the

mini esta mini episodes.

12

:

Because I wasn't going to do an episode.

13

:

And then I thought, well,

Joe goes and gets the kids.

14

:

I'll just talk for a minute.

15

:

I feel so uninteresting right now

because my whole life is centered around.

16

:

Moving.

17

:

So getting our house.

18

:

On the market.

19

:

We'll get our keys to

our new house on Monday.

20

:

And then moving and painting

and all of these things.

21

:

So that is literally all that my.

22

:

Being can handle.

23

:

Doing this all with chronic

illnesses, a whole nother level.

24

:

That has made it really easy for me.

25

:

I literally looked at

my mom and said, Nope.

26

:

This is the best it's going to get.

27

:

And I think that.

28

:

That it really has lowered.

29

:

My expectations in the

greatest way possible.

30

:

And.

31

:

I think, From me to you, whether

you have chronic illness or not.

32

:

You do what you can do.

33

:

And then you just move on and that's okay.

34

:

I wrote a piece this week, and posted it.

35

:

Called deer house, where I

wrote a letter to this house.

36

:

It means so much to me in my family.

37

:

Because it was our first house.

38

:

I think that's something

that makes it special.

39

:

That's where Joe and I.

40

:

Built our family, before we had.

41

:

Isaac and Iris, we have Indian Luna here.

42

:

Our dogs.

43

:

and it, it was that big step

because we actually moved in and

44

:

bought this house a couple of

years before we even got married.

45

:

so that was, The first real

big commitment that we need.

46

:

And I am so grateful and thankful

for this house is a house.

47

:

Where we became husband and

wife, we became pet parents.

48

:

We came people, parents,

we survived a pandemic.

49

:

managed chronic illness,

sadness, joy laughter.

50

:

It's a really good house.

51

:

And it has really good vibes and I hope.

52

:

Whoever comes in next

continues that feeling.

53

:

Another reason why I wanted

to talk today is because.

54

:

As I've said.

55

:

All along.

56

:

You know, this.

57

:

Is an example or I'm trying

to be an example or just show.

58

:

Life as it's happening.

59

:

Not afterwards.

60

:

So even though.

61

:

I think it's probably

incredibly boring to listen to.

62

:

MI talk about cleaning

and painting and caulking.

63

:

Although I have become a

caulking clean and I've gotta

64

:

be very careful as I say it.

65

:

Because it can sound very different.

66

:

Those are all the things

that I'm thinking about.

67

:

And it's actually really funny.

68

:

We had the pictures taken

for the house today.

69

:

And then tomorrow, Wednesday.

70

:

I've got a doctor's appointment.

71

:

I've actually had several

doctor's appointments.

72

:

And we'll talk more about that maybe soon.

73

:

That might, my health journey

has picked back up again.

74

:

As far as doctor's appointments go, but.

75

:

Tomorrow, taking the day off.

76

:

I am going to relax.

77

:

I actually think I'm going

to binge love is blind.

78

:

So who knows, maybe I'll

come in with a mini episode.

79

:

Where I think about my

love is blind thoughts.

80

:

But I'm going to

intentionally rest tomorrow.

81

:

'cause showings.

82

:

We'll start.

83

:

We're going to stay with my parents.

84

:

We're going to.

85

:

Be moving out.

86

:

Do you want all those things?

87

:

And The day before all

that craziness starts.

88

:

I'm going to rest.

89

:

And I'm really proud of that.

90

:

And I know that's not, There's most

super exciting news in the world.

91

:

But I think that's pretty cool.

92

:

They sat down and I looked at what

is coming up and I said, Nope.

93

:

Instead of trying to

cram more into this week.

94

:

I've been taking that day

and I'm going to arrest.

95

:

I'm being productive with my rest.

96

:

I'm resting now so that I can.

97

:

Be who I want to be later.

98

:

And I, even though with my chronic

illness, Which we still don't have

99

:

an official diagnosis of, with that.

100

:

Aye.

101

:

Can confidently, Say I need

it, but even if you don't have

102

:

that, your rest is productive.

103

:

My friend.

104

:

You're allowed to rest and that your

rest now is an investment in your.

105

:

Being later.

106

:

And you now, and you

later both deserved that.

107

:

If you are missing more of

my voice, which, I mean, if

108

:

you are flattered, thank you.

109

:

I am doing my just on hinge,

ticked docks and Instagram Rojas.

110

:

So you can make sure

to give, do them there.

111

:

I am really excited next Friday,

there's going to be a new episode

112

:

of no shame in the home game

with our in-between sessions.

113

:

If you want to be on the coming

season of no shame in the home game.

114

:

We've got a form on that.

115

:

Website now that you can sign up.

116

:

And yeah.

117

:

That's what's happened in here.

118

:

I hope.

119

:

Wherever you are.

120

:

And whenever you are, whether

it's right, when this releases.

121

:

Or who knows from now.

122

:

I hope you can take a

minute and appreciate.

123

:

A moment of fast.

124

:

Because that's where I'm coming from.

125

:

Once all of this dies down.

126

:

I am so excited to really pick

back up with the middle and

127

:

no shame in the home game.

128

:

I really want to run with this idea of.

129

:

Joyful support.

130

:

So you'll hear more about that.

131

:

We thought that being said,

that's the episode, that's it.

132

:

I don't really have anything else to say.

133

:

And there will be a new episode of

Sherry in the middle of next week

134

:

and an no shame, the home game I've

got some work to do apparently.

135

:

Okay.

136

:

So maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

137

:

No, I'm resting tomorrow.

138

:

I'm going to figure it out, but I'm also

going to deliver because that's who I am.

139

:

Anyway.

140

:

I hope you have a great day and thank

you so much for joining me in the middle.
